André Staudte received a PhD in physics from Goethe University of Frankfurt, Germany, in 2005. He joined NRC staff in 2009 and is currently the head of the Attosecond Science Group at NRC, the head of the NRC side of the Joint Attosecond Science Laboratory (JASLab), and the scientific co-lead of the Joint Centre for Extreme Photonics (JCEP).

André is an Adjunct Professor in the physics department of the University of Ottawa, and Alumni of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
