Professor Mehta is an assistant professor in Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He holds a a BMath from Carleton University, a MMath in Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Toronto.

Professor Mehta has also worked closely with notable industry and government teams working on quantum technologies within Canada, including Xanadu, AgnostiQ, and Pauli Group.
