Dr. Louis Gaudreau is a research officer at the National Research Council Canada (NRC) and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa and at l’Université de Sherbrooke, specializing in quantum transport of different quantum dot technologies including GaAs heterostructures, InAsP-InP nanowires, and 2D Van der Waals heterostructures.
During his PhD at the University of Sherbrooke, he studied electrostatic quantum dots and realized for the first time a coupled triple quantum dot system leading to the investigation of the first exchange-only qubit.
He was awarded the prestigious Marie-Curie fellowship for his postdoctoral position at ICFO, in Barcelona, focused on light-matter interactions by combining quantum emitters and graphene.
